In 2018, Jennen created the Melbourne Violin Competition, which attracted seventy-six competing violinists from twenty countries. For the fourth and final stage of the competition, fifty of Melbourne’s leading violinists from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Australian String Quartet, The University of Melbourne and Monash University attended and voted anonymously for their favourite performer. Christine Bernsted (Denmark), received the most votes and won the 2018 Melbourne Violin Competition. Edward Walton (Melbourne) won the Hans Reiner Storz Memorial Award and Anna Dorothea Mutterer (Germany) won the Bishop Instruments & Bows Award.

In 2020, Jennen published his first book, Jentah’s Adventures: After A Fun Day, inspired by his three-year-old daughter, Jentah. The story reinforces independence and good habits in children while reminding parents to be loving and present.

At the back of the book, Jennen composed a 10-minute guided meditation for parents and guardians, reminding them to find joy in each day. To listen to the guided meditation, visit www.jentahsadventures.com
